The sky was as dark as could be,
a beautiful deep midnight blue,
broken only by the light
of the bright twinkling stars.

The brightest of those
was coming from an angel,
who was perched on the moon
holding a bright shining star.

So when the things in life
seem as dark as night,
keep looking out for that angel
with the star so bright.
